Not the all-rounder everyone hypes it to be

"After seeing lots of people rave about the EvoSL I decided to give them a chance. The break-in period was longer than expected, I've found them to be a firm shoe and it's only as I've now got 200km on them I'm finding them good for some runs. I definitely don't reach for them on easy runs as they're not as kind on the legs as Asics Novablast/Megablast, or even my go-to Saucony Endorphin Speeds. I'll keep using them for some tempo sessions until they're clapped out but wouldn't buy them again. Also the comments about poor grip in the wet are very true, stick to the treadmill on a rainy day with these shoes."

This is the goldilocks shoe.

"This is the goldilocks shoe. Not too soft, not too hard, and still puts a spring in your step. No plate, so gentle on your joints. Very good value for how ice they are to wear. Get the woven version as the upper is better."

i have only had one

"i have only had one run in these shoes. . . i expect I will need to break into them. . . one dislike I have are the thin laces. I am looking to replace them. Definitely a running shoe. . . not much stabilituy for x training or the like Service from Pace Athletic, was excellent, as always!"

My new favourite shoe

"Great experience at Pace (Manly), as usual. Fit is good, comfortable shoe and fun to look at too. Not sure why other people seem to get riled by the laces - they stay fastened, can’t feel them and are easily adjusted. I’ve definitely been more motivated to run since getting these, too. Love the grip - they’ve had some rainy runs of late with no issues. Lightweight and very free-feeling. Love them."
